The appearance indicates the ingredients of the cake in &#8220;pie chart&#8221; percentages. <em>Idea by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.food-designing.com\/01-food.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Marti Guixe<\/a>, a designer in Barcelona.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/explanagraphics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/post-cakes-piechart.png\" alt=\"cakes with piechart frosting\" width=\"504\" height=\"445\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now, if you&#8217;re disappointed that the cake is ordinary inside, you can bake your own with custom segments of batter, using this pan <em>from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.danklhampel.com\" target=\"_blank\">Danklhampl design<\/em><\/a>. Rather than being a design that communicates, these objects contain information that is immediately self-evident.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/explanagraphics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/post-cake-segmented.png\" alt=\"cake baked in segments\" width=\"653\" height=\"413\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The baking pan was designed for people who bake for a crowd with many individual preferences. Personally, I&#8217;d just make cupcakes!<\/p>\n<p>My first reaction to these clever European designs is to recall the student&#8217;s memory aid: &#8220;Pie R square.
